Students will need to read 3 books on their level during the 3rd nine weeks.

 

Please bring your planner and all required materials to class everyday. (Pencil, Paper, AR Book)

MONDAY

Students will be working on their skills on Academy of Reading in computer lab. Students need to have 4 trophies this week. I will check student’s progress and adjust skills with students as needed and discuss or suggest ways to improve on certain skills. Students will get 25 pts for every trophy.

 

Students have finished reading “The Diary of Anne Frank”.p.713-845. Students will answer worksheet pages associated with section vocabulary. Use of textbook permitted.

COS/ARMT 8.2

Student will write a paragraph from a given topic with teacher assistance. Football will be today’s subject. Student will try for 100 words for paragraph.

TUESDAY

Library skills in all classes. Students will go to library in each class and return to class to read in AR book remainder of class. Students need 3 AR books read March 9th. Students will also be able to take A.R. test as needed.

Workbook Practice with names of places, calendar skills, and titles.

WEDNESDAY

Students will have 15 mins to read in their choice of AR book. Students will read in newspapers for 15 minutes of class. Students will then use newspapers to find answers from teacher directed questions from board. Answers will be turned in for daily grade.

 Students will have 15 mins to read in their choice of AR book. Students will read in newspapers 15 minutes of class. Students will then use newspapers to find answers from teacher directed questions orally. Grade given.

“Anne Frank” test on vocabulary and section read.

Student will continue practicing his writing correcting sentences with punctuation and capitalization.

Read “Bouncing Back and Another Mountain” review vocabulary and have class discussion on section skills.  (COS Reading Skill 1)

Student will have part of the class to read in their AR book / take AR test.

Student will then work on Academy of Reading skills.

 

Student will work in English workbook.
